Employee Spotlight: getting to know Caroline Van Causenbroeck

We're excited to have you join the eyetec team. Could you tell us a bit about your background and what led you to this point in your career? 

“My journey started in the field of mechanical engineering, specializing in 3D modeling and designing mechanical structures and machinery at 3D Cadworks. However, as much as I enjoyed the technical aspects, I realized that spending my entire day behind a desk drawing wasn't fulfilling enough for me. I craved more customer interaction and engagement.” 

So, how did you make the transition from mechanical engineering to your current role at eyetec? 

“During my final marketing internship abroad in Porto, I had the opportunity to explore the technical side of the industry, and that's when I truly discovered my passion for engineering. With a solid foundation in mathematics and a background in marketing, I decided to pursue a career that combined my technical skills with customer-oriented work. That's when I stumbled upon eyetec while searching for job opportunities.” 

What specifically attracted you to eyetec and the contamination control industry? 

“The technical aspect of the job at eyetec immediately caught my attention. It's not just about selling machines; it's about ensuring product quality and patient safety. The description of the position resonated with me because it offered a perfect blend of customer contact and working within a specific sector. It seemed like an ideal opportunity to apply my skills and make a meaningful impact.” 

Now that you've joined eyetec, how has your experience been so far? 

“The onboarding process was seamless, and I immediately felt welcomed by my colleagues. Everyone is incredibly open and supportive, and I've been encouraged to actively participate in projects from day one. I already have had the privilege to participate in training sessions and have been immersed in a wealth of information. The team has a great sense of companionship, and I appreciate the collaborative and friendly atmosphere.”
